Last updated: June 24, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website operators. ScriptExchange uses cookies to operate the Platform.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled. They include:

  • Supabase authentication cookies: Set by Supabase Auth, our authentication provider, to maintain your authenticated session after login. Their names begin with sb-, and a session may be split across several numbered parts.
  • se_impersonation: Set only when a ScriptExchange platform administrator uses the "log in as" support function on your account. HttpOnly, Secure in production, SameSite=Lax, and expires one hour after it is issued.
  • se_active_program: Set only when a ScriptExchange platform administrator selects a program to view. HttpOnly, Secure in production, SameSite=Lax, and expires twelve hours after it is issued.

2.2 Analytics Cookies

The Platform does not set analytics cookies and does not use a third-party analytics provider.

2.3 Third-Party Cookies

The Platform sets no third-party cookies. We do not use advertising or behavioral tracking cookies, and we do not sell cookie data to third parties.

3. How to Control Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View and delete cookies stored on your device
  • Block cookies from specific websites
  • Block all third-party cookies
  • Set preferences for when to be notified about new cookies

Please note that disabling the Supabase authentication cookies will prevent you from logging in to the Platform.

4. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to websites. The Platform currently does not alter its behavior in response to DNT signals, as there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT. The Platform does not perform behavioral tracking in any case.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For material changes, we will notify you via email or a notice on the Platform.
